The boys from Weymouth are back at it. Having won the 12 team 2014 Rec Division after being relegated from the Open Division the prior year, the Stumps are moving on up. Although their name – Stumps With Attitude – might stereotype them as being a team demure in stature, their strong armed QB and captain Kenny Newcomb has his speedsters running up and down the field between sidelines and seams.
They are currently 4 and 0 and on a collision course with Vicious & Delicious, the other 4 and 0 team in our YMCA Spring Men’s 6-on-6 Men’s league in Newton, MA. The spring league consists of the top teams of the Rec Division and a smattering of teams from our fall Comp(D1) and Open(D2) Divisions.
Congratulations on a great 2014 campaign. We are looking forward to seeing you in the Open Division this fall (with targets on backs).
